Our Approach

How We Structure Every Programme

Each programme is built around a single, well-bounded topic. We have found that financial education is most useful when it is narrow enough to go deep. A four-session programme on investing fundamentals, for example, allows space for real questions, worked examples, and the kind of back-and-forth that produces understanding rather than familiarity.

Sessions are held in person at our Nimmanhaemin Road location. Participant numbers are kept small. The facilitator for each programme is the person who designed its materials and has the deepest professional background in the topic.

All materials are produced specifically for the Thai regulatory and market context. We update them annually as the landscape changes. The printed documents participants take home are designed to be useful references, not just souvenirs.

No programme requires prior completion of another. They are independent. Some participants have attended all three; others have attended one that addressed a specific concern and found that sufficient for where they were at the time.

Foundations of Household Investing

Programme One

The Foundations of Household Investing

A four-session foundational programme covering the essential concepts of household investing at 40+. Asset classes, funds, risk, time horizon โ€” all worked through with Thai-market examples and a pace that allows for real understanding rather than note-taking. Includes a printed reference workbook to take home.

  • Covers asset classes, fund structures, risk profiles, and time horizon
  • All examples drawn from the Thai market
  • Participants who know some of the material are encouraged to revisit it at a different angle
  • Printed reference workbook included
  • Four weeks of post-programme facilitator access

Programme Steps

1

Introduction to asset classes in the Thai context โ€” what exists, how it is structured, how it is accessed

2

Understanding funds โ€” how they operate, what fees mean, how to read a fund factsheet

3

Risk and time horizon โ€” matching household circumstances to an investment approach

4

Applying the framework โ€” worked household scenarios, question and answer, workbook consolidation

Programme Two

Reading Insurance with Care

A one-day workshop on the patient skill of reading Thai life and health insurance materials. The facilitator walks through policy summaries, exclusion clauses, and the most common misunderstandings, with a focus on what matters most to adults at 40+. No products are recommended; participants leave with a printed checklist of questions for any future conversation with an agent or broker.

  • Full-day session with one experienced facilitator
  • Covers policy summaries, exclusion clauses, and common misreadings
  • Specifically designed for the considerations relevant at 40+
  • Printed checklist of questions to use with any insurer or broker
  • No product recommendations made at any point

Drawing the Map financial planning

Programme Three

Drawing the Map: A Personal Financial Plan

A weekend programme of two long sessions in which each participant builds a personal financial map of their household โ€” a single document that lays out assets, liabilities, recurring obligations, household goals, and the time horizon for each. The facilitator provides a printed template developed for the Thai household context and guides each participant individually as the map takes shape. Confidentiality is maintained throughout; personal numbers stay with the participant.

  • Two long sessions across a weekend
  • Thai-context household financial planning template provided
  • Individual facilitator guidance throughout
  • All personal financial data remains with the participant only
  • Suitable for individuals or household partners attending together

Weekend Structure

1

Day one: Mapping assets and liabilities โ€” the full household inventory, approached methodically

2

Day one continued: Identifying recurring obligations and understanding their structure and flexibility

3

Day two: Articulating household goals and attaching a time horizon and realistic context to each

4

Day two close: Reviewing the complete map, identifying gaps or questions, and noting next steps

Standards That Apply Every Time

Participant Privacy

No personal financial data is recorded or retained. Whatever participants bring into the room stays there.

No Product Sales

No session includes a product recommendation, a referral incentive, or any commercial arrangement with financial product providers.

Annual Content Review

Programme materials are reviewed against current Thai regulations and market conditions each year before the next cohort begins.

Four Weeks Post-Session Access

Clarifying questions may be put to the facilitator for four weeks after completion, at no additional cost.

Small Session Sizes

Numbers are limited so the facilitator can engage directly with each participant's questions, not deliver a monologue.

In-Person Chiang Mai Location

All sessions are held at our Nimmanhaemin Road location. The in-person format is not incidental โ€” it is part of how the programmes work.
